Cannot Connect/Stream to AppleTV

If you are experiencing issues connecting and or streaming (AirPlaying) to your AppleTV then kindly follow these steps below. First, please note that at times the AppleTV might generate a four digit code that you need to enter on your MacBook, so ensure that your projector is on.

  • Restarting Your AppleTV: The first thing you'd need to do is restart your AppleTV. If you have a remote for your AppleTV then you can do so by going to System > Settings > Restart. If you do not have a remote then you would need to unplug the AppleTV from the power outlet, wait 5 seconds, then plug it in again (Boot up might take up to two minutes)
  • Restarting Your Laptop: The second thing we'd want to do (though not always necessary) is to restart your laptop.

If by doing these steps you still cannot AirPlay to your AppleTV and or you don't see your room number on the AppleTVs list in your building then please put a ticket in for the help desk and we would be happy to come help you.
