Chromebook Quick Guide

CLEANING AND DISINFECTING

Should your Chromebook need cleaning, follow the steps below.

Disinfectant wipes such as Lysol or Clorox wipes are preferred. Windex applied to a soft cloth is also acceptable. Take care not to allow moisture to enter any openings. Never spray anything directly into any device.

  1. Power off the device before cleaning by holding the power button until it shuts down.
  2. Squeeze out any excess liquid from the wipe/cloth. it should not be damp enough to drip.
  3. Wipe contact surfaces (screen, keyboard, trackpad/mouse). Do not use excessive force. Allow the disinfectant to sit a few minutes to help kill germs.
  4. Follow with a dry microfiber cloth to remove any remaining moisture where needed.

CONNECTING TO WI-Fl AT HOME

Your Chromebook will automatically look for available networks and show them to you in a list. Choose your network and enter your password if applicable.
