How to Setup Gmail/Email Signature

Go to your Gmail inbox and click on the Gear Settings icon that is on the top right of your screen (shown below)

  • Click on ‘See all Settings’ (shown below)

  • Scroll towards the bottom of that page and locate the ‘Signature’ section

  • If you have an existing Signature you can edit the signature in the text box, If you have no signature you will need to click Create New.

You can copy the text from the URL below and paste into your signature for a starting point

  • Paste the signature by right clicking and selecting paste or by placing the cursor in the signature text box and pressing CMD+V

  • From here you can highlight each part you would like to change and keep the formatting at the same time

  • Remember to scroll all the way to the bottom and click on save


How to Set Up Auto Replies(Vacation Responder) When Out of Office in Gmail

Vacation responder (also known as out of office responder) is a Gmail feature that automatically replies to any email that is sent to you when it turned on and you are out of the office. In this article we will show you how to set it up either on your computer or on your phone.

On Computer

  • Go to your Gmail inbox and click on the Gear Settings icon that is on the top right of your screen (shown below)

  • Click on ‘See all Settings’ (shown below)

  • Scroll all the way to the bottom of that page and locate the ‘Vacation Responder’ section, then click ‘Vacation Responder On’ (shown below)

  • Select the date range that you will be out of the office and below that choose what you want for the Subject of your email
  • In the message section, type the message you want to be sent out automatically whenever someone emails you while you are OOO.
  • Lastly, select which option you want as far as responding to people that only have a BCCS email or anyone that emails you in general.
  • Remember to scroll all the way to the bottom and click on save


Auto Replies(Vacation Responder) On Your Phone (iOS & Android)

  • Go to your Gmail application and ensure you are on your BCCS account (not your personal)
  • Click on the three lines in the top left corner of your screen (shown below)

  • Scroll down until you see ‘Settings’. Click on that tab (shown below)

  • Scroll down until you see ‘Vacation responder’ and click on it (shown below)

  • Turn on Vacation Responder then select the dates, your subject, and your message that you want to automatically reply

NOTE: For Android users the layout might be slightly different within the Gmail app but the steps are similar. Also, ensure you are using your Gmail app on your phone and not your ‘Mail’ app (for iPhone users)
